Brand Marketing for Zoyes Creative

Zoyes Creative is a metro-Detroit based creative agency focused on connecting people to brands through powerful design.

When I began with Zoyes, I had little to zero experience with branding. And within a week I self-taught myself Adobe Indesign in order to create a company “Year in Review” to present to the team at the end of the month of May, 2018.

I successfully designed layouts for all pages of the book, which included “Client Catchphrases”, “Spotlight Projects”, and “The Bosses” among others. I chose the fonts, colors, layout, photography, and wrote all copy in order to create a company archive that reflects Zoyes Creative’s trendy aesthetic and friendly culture.

In order to gather copy, I conducted one-on-one interviews with each member of the Zoyes Creative team, gathering information about their hometown, what brought them to Zoyes Creative, their most memorable experiences at the company, the wackiest things their clients have said to them and a fun fact about them.

After completing my May project for Zoyes Creative, I gained valuable marketing experience in developing and executing a Social Media Plan across the company’s Instagram and Facebook accounts. I was tasked with planning posts, conducting photography, creating mock-ups and graphics using Adobe Suit and writing captions. My goal was to capture Zoyes Creatives innovative energy through the aesthetic and content of each post.

Finally, I attended on-site client facing meetings throughout my internship. This provided me with my first knowledge of client communications and account management.

I also conducted digital photography at a number of these meetings to gather copy for client websites. For example, I gathered shots of an Atwell sign that the Zoyes Creative’s architecture department created in their own warehouse.
